The MI-00-402 is a composite friction material designed for industrial applications requiring reliability, stable friction performance and good wear resistance under light to medium-duty operating conditions. Its formulation ensures consistent and predictable behaviour during working cycles, providing smooth and controlled braking even in repeated operations.
It is particularly suitable for brakes and clutches used in industrial machinery, small lifting systems, material handling equipment, gear motors and general-purpose applications where operational continuity and low noise levels are required. MI-00-402 offers good compatibility with metallic mating surfaces and low aggressiveness, helping to reduce component wear and extend service life.
The material also provides decent thermal stability and consistent performance under intermittent operating conditions. Thanks to I.M.A.’s expertise, it can be supplied in various formats or machined into custom components according to customer drawings.
