The MI-00-311 is a rigid composite friction material designed for industrial applications requiring a good balance of stable friction performance, wear resistance and reliable operation under standard and light-to-medium duty conditions. Its formulation, based on phenolic resins with an NBR bonding system and short fibres, results in a non-metallic material with consistent behaviour even under repeated operating cycles.
MI-00-311 provides a stable coefficient of friction, ensuring smooth, controlled and predictable braking performance, improving system safety and accuracy. It is particularly suitable for brakes and clutches used in industrial machinery, material handling systems, small lifting equipment, gear motors and general-purpose applications where reliability, low noise and long service life are required.
The material also offers good thermal resistance up to medium-high temperatures and decent wear resistance, helping to reduce maintenance needs and extend component lifetime. Thanks to I.M.A.’s expertise, MI-00-311 can be supplied in various formats or machined into custom components according to customer drawings.
