The MI-00-603 is a rigid composite friction material designed for industrial applications requiring stable friction performance, low wear and reliable behaviour under standard and light-to-medium operating conditions. Its formulation is based on phenolic resins with an NBR bonding system and short fibres, resulting in a non-metallic material with consistent performance and low aggressiveness on mating surfaces. This makes it particularly suitable for brakes and clutches used in industrial machinery, small lifting systems, gear motors and general-purpose applications where smooth operation and reliability are essential. MI-00-603 ensures stable behaviour even during repeated cycles, offering good resistance to thermal fading and smooth, progressive braking response. Its structure also helps reduce wear on components and extend service life. Thanks to I.M.A.’s expertise, the material can be supplied in various formats or machined into custom components according to customer drawings.
