The MI-00-704 is a Kevlar-based (aramid fibre) friction material designed for industrial applications requiring high wear resistance, thermal stability and consistent performance under demanding operating conditions. The presence of aramid fibres provides excellent mechanical strength and significantly reduces wear, even under intensive and repeated braking cycles. The material also ensures low thermal fading and a smooth, progressive braking response, improving overall system safety and reliability. It is particularly suitable for brakes and clutches used in cranes, overhead cranes, hoists, winches, lifting systems and industrial machinery subjected to medium to heavy loads and continuous stress. Thanks to its Kevlar-based composition, MI-00-704 offers excellent dimensional stability and long service life, reducing maintenance requirements and machine downtime. I.M.A. can supply the material in various formats or machine custom components according to customer drawings.
